Fernando joined WAGES in May of 2010 as the manager for the new San Francisco Co-op, Home Green Home. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fernando has lived in San Francisco since 2001 and has a background not only with project management and design but also in operations and efficiency. New to the nonprofit world, Fernando’s desire to create green jobs for low-income women stems from his own experience with low-income Latino families. He feels good about helping to make a change in the lives of the co-op worker-owners at Home Green Home. Fernando has studied Judo for self-defense since he was eight years old and has taught personal defense courses to women. He holds a degree in Graphic Design from Palermo University in Buenos Aires and is currently seeking his Masters degree in Fine Arts.
