Kelsea McDonough
Development Coordinator

A strong believer in the idea that improving women’s lives enhances the quality of life for families and communities, Kelsea joined the WAGES team in August 2011 as the Development Associate. In this role, she supports donor relations and communications, as well as program evaluation. She is deeply committed to creating opportunities for low-income communities, and is thrilled to bring her experience to support WAGES' efforts to help women develop economic stability.

Originally from Massachusetts, Kelsea is a recent transplant to the Bay Area, having previously taught English at a bilingual preschool in Granada, Spain. Prior to joining WAGES, she collaborated with a range of social justice organizations including the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, the Committee on Refugees from El Salvador, and the Center for Women’s Studies of Chile, in areas such as community outreach and advocacy, program administration and evaluation, and volunteer support. She is passionate about dismantling barriers to resources faced by marginalized communities, and currently volunteers as a domestic violence counselor in San Francisco. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Tufts University.
