Teresa Perez
Eco-Friendly Cleaning (EFC) Trainer

Teresa Perez was born in Mexico and came to the United States in search of the American Dream. Eventually earning her GED from Central High School in Morgan Hill, she then became involved with the Learning and Loving Center also in Morgan Hill, a non-denominational women-focused nonprofit organization that provides education, outreach, and resources to low-income immigrant women and children. She first learned of WAGES through the Center, and her interest in non-toxic cleaning and women’s leadership made her a natural fit for WAGES' worker-owned green businesses. Soon after, in 2001, Tere became a founding member of Eco-Care, the green cleaning co-op in the South Bay. In 2003, she discovered her appreciation for the special art of true cleaning and joined the training team at WAGES, realizing her desire to share her knowledge with new co-op members. In her current role as Eco-Friendly Cleaning (EFC) Trainer, Teresa draws on her passion for eco-friendly cleaning and lifelong love of teaching to instruct new co-op members in green cleaning that gets the best possible results. Teresa has always believed in the importance of being able to prioritize family time, and truly understands the power of co-op membership in helping realize this goal for so many families. She is very honored to be a part of an organization that helps women launch successful green businesses that offer a range of benefits and is happy to be able to help other women realize their dreams.
