Lilly Alvarez
Cooperative Developer

Lilly continues her passion for social justice as a WAGES Cooperative Developer, where she works closely with the members of WAGES co-ops in leadership training and organizational development, serves as an interim general manager, and supports the Director of Cooperative Development.

Lilly has previous experience with environmental justice and indigenous rights. She has worked with the International Forum on Globalization in San Francisco, volunteered with international NGOs in Kenya and Mexico, and volunteered for the National Park Service. A graduate from UC Berkeley, she holds a degree in Society & Environment, through the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management, and a second degree in Music. While at Berkeley, she was a member of the Berkeley Student Cooperative, organized with political and activist organizations, and facilitated a course on immigration and US-Mexico relations. Besides her passion with collectively-owned democratic workplaces, she's an artist at heart and loves music, filmmaking, bikes, and exploring our remaining pockets of wilderness in her free time.
