Starting her term as an AmeriCorps VISTA as WAGES' Evaluation Associate, Susy is looking forward to working with the WAGES family in its efforts to create worker-owned green businesses. Susy plays a key role in developing WAGES' evaluation work, helping the organization to better understand - and share with others - what is working in its programs, how it can improve, and what changes it creates in the lives of the worker-owners and their families. An ambassador for social justice, women's empowerment, and a more sustainable future, Susy is ecstatic to continue advocating as a part of WAGES.

Susy graduated from Humboldt State University in May 2011 with a BA in Spanish Education. She participated in multiple activities and organizations ranging from the presentation of a contemporary Hispanic play, to being on the Crew team, to co-founding HOLA, Humboldt's Organization for Latin Americans and many more. At heart, Susy is both an outdoor enthusiast and country girl who enjoys spending her time climbing, gardening, and doing anything and everything that allows basking in the sun. Salsa dancing and listening to Latin music religiously are key contributors to the smile she wears regularly.
