Marisol Gomez
Operations Manager

Marisol was born in Acapulco, Mexico, came to the United States at the age of three, and grew up in East Palo Alto. Growing up, she witnessed her mother work everyday in the housekeeping service, never advancing (despite her hard work) and exposing her health to harsh chemicals. Because of this, Marisol's mother enforced education in her house. With all the support Marisol received, she excelled in academics and graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2010. During her time at UC Santa Cruz she researched the inequality between gender in the work force in the United States and in Mexico (focusing more on cities near the US/Mexico border).

Working for WAGES is a dream come true for Marisol. Her mother is reflected on all the women WAGES supports and that drives her to work hard and bring the knowledge she has gained to continue supporting WAGES' mission and vision. As the Operations Manager, Marisol will be working closely with the co-ops and ensuring a strong foundation for success during the incubation process.
