Rose Larsen
Program and Development Data Coordinator

Rose joined WAGES in September 2013 as a New Sector Resident in Social Enterprise through AmeriCorps. She has a background in Economic Development and looks forward to learning more about cooperatives while working on her project to implement a Salesforce database at WAGES, with the goal to increase efficiency and allow WAGES to better evaluate its programs, grow, and spread its model more widely.

Rose comes to WAGES after returning from serving two Kiva Fellowships in Colombia and the Dominican Republic. There, she worked with Kiva’s local microfinance partners, including a student loan organization that uses Kiva’s funding to help low-income students get college degrees. This experience allowed her to meet Kiva borrowers, perfect her Spanish, and gain a better understanding of microfinance and international development. She has also completed an internship in Kiva’s San Francisco offices and gained local community development experience with the Women’s Foundation of California. Rose is an avid international traveler who has visited over 25 countries and hopes to add many more to the list soon. A San Francisco native, she is excited to see how economic development programs can help her local community.
