Women's Action to Gain Economic Security (WAGES) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic and social well being of low-income women through cooperative business ownership. WAGES does not take political positions, nor does it engage in partisan politics. To protect WAGES' commitment to nonpartisanship and intellectual independence, WAGES staff members and leadership strive to maintain the highest standards with regards to public statements and activities in this area.
As a tax exempt, non-profit organization governed by Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code, WAGES may engage in some restricted political and legislative activities. However, it is not WAGES' organizational policy or practice to engage in such activities.
To protect WAGES' commitment to nonpartisanship, WAGES will not endorse any particular legislation, nor will it support any political candidates or participate in any campaign activities.
