BRANCH MANAGER
Job Announcement
Status: Hourly, 20 hours per week. The Natural Home Cleaning Contra Costa (NHCCC) Branch Manager is an employee of the non-profit WAGES (Women’s Action to Gain Economic Security), and reports to the NHCCC General Manager. Once NHCCC exits WAGES subsidy, estimated for June 2013, this position continues as an employee of NHCCC.
Location: This position is split between the local office for Natural Home Cleaning-Contra Costa, housed at the Michael Chavez Center, 2599 Monument Blvd #G in Concord, and the NHCCC administrative office at 3228 Fruitvale Avenue, Oakland.
Responsibilities
Personnel management, marketing and operations for a growing eco-friendly house cleaning cooperative serving Central Contra Costa clients, and designed to provide stable income and personal growth to low-income Latina immigrants.
Including:
- Lead local marketing: Create and implement a local marketing strategy including profiling our ideal client. Study the competition and identify sources of target clients. Sell the service through in-person presentations and targeted print materials. Assist the General Manager with web presence.
- Personnel: Lead bi-weekly member meetings, including agenda development in collaboration with the General Manager, meeting logistics and facilitation. In partnership with the General Manager, recruit, interview and select new co-op members. Coordinate cleaning trainings and evaluations.
- Arrange individual meetings with co-op members when necessary for work support or intervention, annual outcome interviews, or assistance with personal issues such as childcare vouchers or legal questions. Provide counseling and conflict resolution assistance if conflicts arise between co-op members.
- Back-up Oakland operations staff in client care, sales and bookkeeping functions. Assist with last minute printing of work orders and maps when necessary. Maintain systems and physical plant in the Contra Costa office which is currently housed at the Chavez Center, but may move or expand over time.
Other Management Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of the Board of Directors
- Work on special projects as needed, as part of the NHCCC team.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree required.
· A minimum of six years of direct experience working with beneficiary population.
· Experience in business operations.
· Demonstrated experience in, sales operations, and/or human resources.
· Previous supervision experience.
· A strong commitment to WAGES’ mission and interest in social enterprise, asset-building, and community development.
· Proven track record of creating and implementing innovative solutions to meet organizational needs; ability to bring creativity and collaboration to operations and human resources.
· Demonstrated success in cooperative personnel management, leadership in growing cooperatives, and ability to be both innovative and rigorous in adhering to standards and models.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
· Strategic, analytical approach combined with strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and integrity.
· Extreme flexibility, with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit to accommodate high level of responsibility and multiple priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial management software required. Proficiency with Macs desired.
· Ability to multi-task and provide consistent high attention to detail.
· Bilingual: Fluent English and Spanish are required.

Compensation
This is an hourly position with no benefits. Compensation is commensurate with experience, $17 – 27 per hour.
