“In the restaurant where I worked before, they used a lot of bleach, and I had a lot of allergies and respiratory problems. I don’t have those anymore, and I don’t get the same aches in my body that I used to, either. Now I feel good physically and mentally. I feel proud to be in a green cooperative and I’m glad that my fellow socias feel the same way.”
Our Community Partners
WAGES' work is supported by our many community partners who believe all women should have dignified and lasting economic opportunity. Our key partnerships include community-based organizations, industry stakeholders, and expert advisors whose work complements our resources and our economic empowerment model. Many of our partners help WAGES recruit co-op members and host our community workshops, and we refer our co-op members to these and other organizations for services such as childcare, tax preparation, and counseling.
